Hello blog friends! Happy Friday! Image may be NSFW.

Even though tonight is the kick-off of Oktoberfest here (our city has the world’s second-largest celebration, so a big deal is always made about it), I decided to be boring and spend the night in. I had the biggest urge to go to another hot yoga class, so I decided to go for it, because $5 definitely isn’t pricey for a Friday night. For some reason it felt like it had been at least a few days since I went to hot yoga, but when I thought about it, I realized that it was just yesterday morning that I went!
I was still a little sore from yesterday, but I made sure I didn’t push myself too much in the 90-minute moksha class. I worked hard and sweat more than I ever have in a class before, but rested for a few seconds or did a modified version when I started feeling a little too shaky. I left feeling amazing, and I’m already dreaming about going back! I’m not sure why, but I’m absolutely in love with yoga right now!
I showered the minute I stepped through the door, and then drank a huge glass of water and threw together a quick dinner.

Carrot fries coated in peanut butter + soy sauce + mirin are super easy to make in the oven, and taste awesome.

I had them with a side of cold soba noodles with nori + soba tsuyu (dipping sauce).

After I cooked the soba noodles, I put them in a colander with some ice and stirred it around a bit, until the noodles cooled off and were ready to eat. The hot carrots + cold noodles were the perfect way to cool off after yoga, but still have a warm dinner.

I had a glass of chardonnay while I watched this week’s episode of Jersey Shore (classy, I know)

and a small bowl of soy ice cream + smarties (Fun fact: Canadian smarties =/= American smarties! American smarties are what we call “rockets”, and Canadian smarties are very similar to M&M’s).
Both my roomies are gone for the weekend, so I feel a little lonely without them Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view. Luckily I have plans for the rest of the weekend, so hopefully I won’t feel too lonely the whole time! I’m sad that I won’t be spending the weekend participating in round four of Project Food Blog (unfortunately I didn’t make it through the last round), but at least now I’ll have more time to focus on my schoolwork Image may be NSFW.

See you on the weekend!
